What can be treated with homeopathy?

Homeopathy treats a variety of health conditions, including:

  • headaches and migraines;
  • depression, anxiety, hyperactivity;
  • colds, flus, lung infections, asthma and allergies;
  • ear infections, vertigo;
  • skin diseases, like acne, eczema, psoriasis;
  • digestive problems, acid reflux, colitis;
  • arthritis and bursitis;
  • women’s health, pregnancy and menopause-related issues;
  • urinary infections;
  • fatigue and sleeping problems;
  • diabetes and hypertension;
  • and many other conditions.

What to expect during the homeopathic consultation?

Homeopathic treatment is individualized and tailored to the unique characteristics of every patient. The assessment in homeopathy is holistic. It takes your physical, psychological and social concerns into consideration in a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere. During your homeopathic session, your practitioner will ask you questions about your health as well as other areas of your life, and your answers will form the basis of selecting the right remedy for you. It goes without saying that all information shared during the session will remain confidential and private, unless you indicate otherwise.

Patients at the OCH Clinic are asked to commit to a two-hour intake session and two follow-up appointments (30 to 60 minutes each). This amount of time is typically required to analyze your health situation and prescribe a remedy that’s most appropriate for you at this time. Before your first meeting, you will be given an intake form to identify your health concerns and give your practitioner an overview of your health history. During the initial consultation, you will be asked more detailed questions about your chief health concerns, other physical and emotional symptoms, and life stresses, so that your practitioner can understand you better as a person.

After your appointment, your practitioner will work on your case and prescribe a remedy. Follow-up appointments will occur two to four weeks later and during these times you will have a chance to give feedback and ask questions. Your practitioner will be able to monitor your healing progress and make any necessary adjustments to the treatment. Both adults and children are welcome. To find out more, give us a call!
